Ok so ive been wanting a Galaga for a LONG LONG time but havent found the right opportunity. Bought one off ebay last year as a project but i ended up selling it off since i didnt have the time to fix it and someone else was needing it more for another project.

Fast forward to last week when i saw a Ms. Pac advertised. Shot the guy an offer and today i drove to Huron to pick it up.

Cabinet in better condition then what i had thought but still needs alot of work. I normally dont convert cabs but like i said i want a Galaga and i have all the parts for one except sideart and front kick plate. There is no salvaging the artwork on this machine. Hell there are 2 bolt holes on each side of the machine after i looked closely. The bezel is in great shape and the marquee is faded. Game works fine and burn in is very little.

I know this may be a long shot but if anyone is interested, i would trade this complete for a Galaga project

This Ms Pac is perfect if someone wants to restore them. That kinda works out, since they usually need some level of restoration, since they're usually badly faded and worn.

I found one in about this condition that I plan to completely strip down, restencil, etc.. Mine, however, had a giant hasp around the front and I'll be patching a very rough hole nearly the size of a quarter.

Good luck finding your Galaga. I recommend you buy Phoenixarcade's art package and hold on to that...then..find one that needs mostly cosmetic attention and restore it.

Popped the lock today and found about $3 in change, no coin mechs, and a repaired board with a jrok chip where the vram board went. Seems like i have huge sound static. adjusted the switcher that was installed and now getting garbage on screen.
