KatanaJoe, his son and I took a short road trip to visit a local collector that is downsizing to free up some space (where have we ever heard that before ... ???). Joe was heading there to look at a Punchout and I was going along just to see what was on the chopping block.
Joe got his punchout:
And I found a little gem tucked in a corner:
Yes, it is a Bubbles cocktail. One of the rarest of the Williams cocktails. Especially one that hasn't been converted to some junky JAMMA game.
Here it is in the house.
The artwork is in good shape, except for the instruction cards. When I first plugged it in, joystick one was not working but after I reseated the I/O connector, it started working. There is some chipping on the laminate, which is not uncommon. I need to look at replacing at least one of the light sockets in the coin door.
The main thing is the electronics are in good shape and the monitor is clear and bright with minimal burn.
So all in all, today was a good day.
