So I have found a smash tv in pretty good shape for about 300 bucks. It seems a little steep for a Klover. It is in average shape and needs a new marquee. Monitor is decent and sideart looks decent.

I played this game in the arcade..Loved it...

What are your opinons on this game. Does anyone own it... how long have you kept it. Do you still enjoy the play?

Can I swap in an out my 19-1 ? on this?

I recently played Smash TV for the first time in 15 years or so. I always loved it - cool theme, great graphics, and it's cooperative. The only downside (which I remembered when I came to it) is that it gets a little old for me after you beat the first level and it switches to the robots. I believe people here have also said it loses some luster after you master it, although I can't speak to that.

That being said, if I had the space (pretty big cabinet!) and it was at that price, I would be picking it up.

I would never swap out any game in that cabinet besides Total Carnage. Pretty good addictive game, it certainly challenges players! $300 sounds fair, marquees aren't hard to replace so much as the CPO, the repro's are no where near the original.

Jump on it man! It is a great game, certainly a quarter eater from BITD with the continue feature. If you have any love for Robotron, you will likely enjoy this game as well.
$300.00 is good price for one in good shape, IMO.

I'd Buy That For A Dollar! (300 of 'em) Oh yea, I think that is what I paid for mine too. Or maybe $350.00, don't recall exactly..

fun game but having the ability to continue forever and add credits for free takes a lot away from it for me. When it was in the arcades I loved it but part of the reason was I wanted to get further in the game which required me to either get better or spend more money. IN the home environment anyone can beat the game simply by continually adding credits.

If it's the dedicated version with the 25in monitor I'd say the price is fair.

BTW I still own one as my friends love to play it. Actually I've gotten further on the game in the arcade than I have since I bought the game years ago. I guess it really did lose it's appeal for me once I owned it.

I too loved this game in the arcades.

Found a nice one locally and bought it for $350, Was in pretty nice shape with very minimal fade.

It stayed a total of 3 months, then I sold it (for the same price).

For some reason it was just not the same as I remembered.

Alot of people love this game, and I don't blame themm, but it didn't do it for me like I rembered :(

I'll be buying it. I imagine that someone on the forum will enjoy it if I decide to dump it.

I've got (2) working boardsets and a total carnage set. love those games, was thinking of throwing robotron in with them too.

I've been looking for a cab for a while and have plans to pick one up tomorrow myself :D :D :D "I LOVE IT!"

do you see any problem putting a 19 in 1 in them?

I don't want to keep it there, but when I want to play robotron. I currently don't have a suitable cabinet.

I have no experience with any xx in 1's but i would say yes and no... it would work, but you'd only be able to play games that use 1-2 joysticks as the smash tv cab only has start buttons and no others(unless you modified the control panel, if you do this make a clone and save the original).

you could always go with a jamma switcher or 2 in 1 adapter.

I bought the 19 in 1 for robotron only. The other games don't hold a great deal of appeal to me.

should work fine, tho as i said i've never had a xx in 1 to mess around with.

My Smash TV has the multi-williams Jrok board, Total Carnage and Smash TV.
I basically got the Jrok board for just the Robotron too.
