I picked up a couple of games last week for $120, a mania challenge and sky soldiers. The sky soldiers is in a frogger cabinet and the mania challenge is in a bagman cabinet. I am thinking of turning the maina challenge back into a bagman, I have a bagman pcb which isn't working right now so I would need to get that up and running. It has the original bagman control panel, so all I would need is a cpo, marquee and I know thisoldgame sells repro side art. The only other thing I would need to do is either get a jamma adapter for it or make my own connector for the pcb. I would them probably convert the sky soldiers into mania challenge since I am not a big fan of sky soldiers. Just thought I would see what other s thought. Thanks :)

Gotta restore Bagman! A lot of people hate it, but it's a great game. I bought a Tiger Heli in a Bagman cab a couple of years back, and it's converted fully back to Bagman.

Few years ago I bought a galaga for $100 which I discovered was in a Bagman cabinet so I restored that one to a bagman. Sold it awhile back which I kinda wish I hadn't but now I have them opportunity to do it again, just need to get the board I have up and running and track down a few parts.

I bought a repro mylar marquee, and ended up still getting the plexi marquee a few months later. It might take a little time to find the plexi parts, but still worth the wait. Just my .02
Quarterarcade.com is where I ended up getting my marquee and CPO, but they sometimes pop up here for sale.

I will take pics as I progress along, first I need to get the bagman pcb I have up and running. It's missig an ic and I need to figure out what ic it is so if anyone knows where I can get a manual for bagman please let me know.

Thought I would update. it has been a bit, almost done my bagman restore. Couldn't get the board up I have up running so I bought one untested, initally didn't work but I got it running. Just finishing up rewiring the edge connector and filter board to power, converting to a switching power supply from the original linear power supply and will try to finish the wiring for the controls tonight. Bought a arcadeshop conversion pcb board for the switching power supply from a KLOV memeber, just waiting for that to arrive. Bought a marquee and cpo from another klov memeber and had to fill in some holes on the control panel with bondo because it was butchered from when it was a mania challenge and put in a fluorescent light because someone put in a regular light fixture. Cabinet is all painted up and I have posted some pics. Hopefully in the next week it will be totally up and running, minus the t molding and side art which will come later. Here are a some pics of the restore, next project up is restoring a track and field from an escape from the planet of the robot monsters.

Don't think I will be getting rid of it anytime soon Portent, I had a bagman before but sold it to my buddy Braido up north and have missed it ever since but I know it went to a good home. If that day ever comes I will let you know. I need to give a big thanks to Braido for sending me some pics of the wiring for edge connector and filter board, the pics were a huge help, thanks buddy. Thanks tomtime for the kind words:) As for the monitor I left it in the whole time of the restore but I had to swap the original monitor that was in the cabinet with a spare monitor I had when I got the game. First time I powered it up the a chunk of flyback blew off, the orginal monitor used a sampo kgr 1901 chassis and I can't find a replacement flyback for it so if anyone out there has a sampo kgr 1901 chassis they are willing to part with let me know, I would like to put the original monitor back in the cabinet. The bondo on the control panel is almost dry and ready to sand so I can get the cpo on and reinstall the joystick and buttons, then finish the wiring and then it will be done. ThisOldGame doesn't have any bagman sideart available right now so once they do I will grab a set and pick up the t molding and get that on also.

Will do but will be keeping it next to my tapper and Gyruss for a long time :)

I got I at the same place you picked up robot monsters.

Hey Portent I saw you have a demoliton derby, if you ever plan to get rid of it please let me know. I would love to have that game:)
