that bastard!!!

This has been well discussed in R.G.V.A.C and really doesn't need to be rehashed. Please use Google groups to search for the thread and you will have all your answers provided.

Wow that's too bad. Hell give the cpu board to someone who could use/fix it.
(You can see the MsPac board come flying out of the game)

Uh-Oh! You will NOT be pleased at what I have recently done then! Filmed in widescreen and High Def (rented 2 cameras), we throw twelve machines off the roof (will be in new show)...including Omega Race, Tempest, Afterburner, Toobin, Mario Andretti pinball, Street Fighter 2 pinball, Last Action Hero pinball, and a few others...
The point We are trying to make is that some machines are NOT in good enough condition to be sold into the home market.
I just wonder when in movies, cars are smashed, houses blown up, etc, whether those folks get emails from folks upset they are ruining a perfectly good car, sofa, building, etc!!! Todd

Pics or it didnt happen...
Love the informitive youtube vids you been doin Todd keep it up!
As for breakin stuff, just let me know when u need a stuntman as I

!!WILL WORK FOR GAMES!!

So, you tossed a Tempest with a 6100 inside? unless the tube is busted, it's worth quite a bit. Haven't found a chassis set yet that can't be fixed...

Yeah but those things aren't collectables.

NOT in good enough condition to be sold into the home market.

That's subjective. Hell I dare say at least 1/2 the projects people start off with here fall into that category.

Some people who don't have the means to get classics in rather good condition would jump at the chance to take those machines off your hands. Would happily pay you for them too.

Take a look over in the restoration section on the forums. I've seen quite a few machines I wouldn't spend a single dollar on as they took too far gone for me to spend my time or $$ on yet people painstakingly spend tons of time and energy to fully restore them.

They're you machines and thus you have every right to do what you want with them. But I still say it's a shame that they are destroyed rather than restored.

I agree, have you not seen the shows where they restore a junked rusty classic car to look like new? Same thing applies here.

Case in point... Phet's Recent Moon Patrol Restore....

First off:

I don't care if this has been discussed on RGVAC at length- doesn't mean I've had my say, does it? Nor have I discussed it with the folks here- so if your bored, you can move on. Hate that shit where someone feels like they've read enough on something and comes by patrolling the forums, it's really unnecesary- if the topics dead- it will die. I'd love to see someone try that in a live conversation..."sorry everyone I talked about this with George and Tim the other day, if you all like, you can listen to the recording- but we can't talk about this here anymore".

My opinion on this is that it makes me sad. Why destroy when you can create. The point would be easily enough made that these machines aren't YET ready for home use. But look what we can do to bring an old relic back to life. OR heres what "joe shmo" can do with a ratty old cabinet I sold to him. Your method insures that machine NEVER sees the light of day again, along with whatever components happen to be good in it at the time.

Sorry, if the point was an awesome one- and really clear, I'd say go for it. But this is for "Shock Value" only. And that analogy about cars in movies is not a very good one- YES i would get sad if i saw someone blow up an authentic 57 Chevy for no good reason- or any other piece of historical and nostaligic value. Especially if it was "crazy eddie" just farting around in a used car commercial.

+11111 well said my friend.

As for todd's statement, well they dont make those machines anymore, so what your throwing off roofs, some people here have the talent and skill to restore them. Or some people here might need the parts off those machines to make their's better.

what ever your explanation is, you cant glorify what your doing in saying its right!

Members on this very group have trashed and smashed DOZENS AND DOZENS of games...I have read their posts...so WHY are the above folks not saving THESE games???? Todd
