Hi everyone,

I have a sick TMNT pinball machine. It worked fine when I used it the other day. When I plugged it in today it was making a hissing noise when it booted up. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. It booted correctly but now none of the ball mechanics work. It will start but it will not eject balls into the playfield. The flippers now move very slowly. I pulled the glass and all bumpers and scoring items work perfectly. I did lay the backglass down because we were getting ready to move it. I put it back up so we could play it prior to the move and that is when this started. I don't see any severed wires but that doesn't mean anything. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. This is my first pin so my experience with them isn't the greatest. Thank you in advance for all your help.

Check all of the fuses 1 by 1 then go to checking all the harnesses. After you have done that look to see if any of the soleniods are stuck on when you turn the machine on.

If you do not have a manual for the game, get one. There is one located here under documentation:
http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2509
The manusl will list all of the locations of the fuses and the values the they should have. When you check fuses, remove them from the holder and test them with a DMM. The manual will also tell you how to start diagnostics. In diagnostics you can verify that all of the solenoids are operating correctly, and also verify the switches and other functions of the game. Once you have run diagnostics, that should let you know what is wrong, and then check back here for any additional help.

Guys thank you for your input. I am hoping to get to it over the long holiday weekend. A nasty storm came through and ripped things up pretty well. Unfortunately that is going to cut into my pinball time :( I will report back once I know more. Thanks again!!!
