I picked up a 4 player Wrestlefest this weekend. I plugged in my TMNT PCB and can only get player one active on coin up. I'm guessing it's because Wrestlefest only has one coin door (as opposed to TMNT's 4). Any suggestions for a work around?

actually, each player in TMNT had their own coin switch wiring. players 1 and 2 would utilize the coin 1 and coin 2 off the JAMMA harness. I'm not entirely sure if the Technos/Wrestlefest player 3/4 harnesses are pin compatible with the Konami ones, but there will be a coin switch wire on each harness, and their own start buttons in addition to all the other controls.

From what I can remember, Wrestlefest only one coin door and each player could share credits, so if you were trying to join in, and someone was being a real asshole about it, they could use your credit to replenish health as soon as you coin up.

It sounds like the coin door is only wired using player 1 coin up to the JAMMA harness. As you said with Wrestlefest everyone kind of shares credits. If you wanted to you could add a wire for player 2 coin into the JAMMA harness and run it to coin switch 2 on the coin door. That still only leaves you 2 player for TMNT though.

You could wire the individual coin switch wires, up to the start buttons for each respective player. So when you hit Start #3, it's also connected to coin switch #3, adds a credit, and starts the game. You might have to hit it twice or something. Then evertime you hit it, it'll add up your health too.

You won't be able to 'operate' it like that though, it'll be freeplay.

I can't find a free play mode for TMNT... :(
No kidding, I just looked through the manual and there is no free play mode. I would wire all of the credit lines to the one coin mech so that when you add a credit for one you add one for all of them. Well, that or what LyonsArcade suggested.

Neither TMNT nor Turtles in Time have Free Play for some reason, but I think all the other Konami games do. The problem with wiring one coin mech to all 4 players is that if you're playing just one or two players, and you accidentally press one of the other player buttons, now you have to wait for that player to get killed, it messes up the flow of the game.

X-Men and Simpsons don't have free play either. Not sure what Konami had against that option, but I can't think of one of their beat em games that has it.

Sunset Riders definitely has Free Play, X-Men definitely does as well. Simpsons may not, but my guess is that the games that came out after Turtles in Time have it, but the games that game out before do not.

Hmm I wonder if I have a different version of the board or something. I've never seen the option on my 6 player.
