Picked up this cab last year as a non-working Golden Tee '97.
It was pretty trashed and I almost passed on it, but I noticed the single speaker and figured it was a converted TMNT.
It was cheap and close, and that ashtray is peak, so I figured what the hell.
Word of warning - if you're interested in one of these and haven't moved one before, they're REAL damn heavy. This will probably be the last time I mess with a 4 player cab.

The front of this thing must have been kicked in at some point. Possibly multiple times. They eventually shored it up with a couple of 2x4's. It was also missing the top of the coin doors and somebody had blocked it with some particle board. What a mess.

CP was swiss cheese. More cracks in the front, and a big missing chunk on the inside. The bottom edges were pretty thrashed as well. I had my hands full.

Time to get to work. Unfortunately the side art was wasted and unsalvageable. I threw some casters on it and did a full tear down.

You can really see how bad the front is now

Kudos for taking this one on! You have some work ahead of you.

My TMNT was also a GT at some point. I bought it from a flipper who "restored" it to a Turtles cab and kindly blinged it out with LED buttons and a sweet LCD and a subwoofer and LED strip lighting. I've been gathering the parts to finish the deconversion and get it back very close to original and will be digging in soon.

After scratching my head for a while I decided it would be possible to salvage the kick plate if I reinforced it from the back. Here it is after the repairs - I was very happy with how it turned out and it's very solid now.

Also sealed the bottom with wood hardener and repaired the front corner which had seen better days

The top of the CP was too far gone to repair so I used it as a template and built a new one. Also decided to go with the Green T molding. I just think it looks better than the black. Also picked up some new joysticks.
Starting to look like a game.

Amazing. My TMNT was just as bad. I cut off the bottom 20% of the cab and had to make an entirely new kick plate. You should recap that monitor!
