Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues programming GALs with my TL866, namely the 11D IC (BPRG1) on SF2: CE.

When using the file from pldarchive, all I get is a random sound effect/glass break sound effect on both of my CPS1 boards.

If I do a jedutil conversion of the rom file, it boots to SCR 1 RAM NG.

If I use the bootleg PAL and roms, the game works properly. Bootleg PAL and legit roms works and resets upon match start.

I'm using some GAL16V8-15LP which from what I understand should be correct. When writing to the IC, I've tried checking and unchecking the lock bit. I've also tried encrypting and not encrypting the write as well.

If anyone has any idea what I'm doing wrong, please let me know! Thanks.

I'd make sure that the data are correct when you read back what you wrote on the GAL.

Do you have extra gal's that you can program and test? Maybe you've got a faulty chip. I've programmed quite a few gal's with my tl866ii plus and have never had a problem. Open/load the file from pldarchive and program.

:edit: make sure you erase the gal before programming too. Im sure you have been but fidn't see it specifically mentioned.

All that said, if you're converting from bootleg to original, check the A board also. Some of those bootleg kits also require a modified A board pal.
