Instead of Esc, you can also hold down keyboard key 1 then press keyboard key 2 to exit a game. These will be mapped to the Player 1 and 2 start buttons on any keyboard encoder that uses the MAME defaults.
 
The ipac encoder has "shift" keys. The default shift config for ESC on the ipac is start 1 + start 2 but there's much more to this. The shift keys can access the TAB and on screen controls as well, so you never have to touch a keyboard while in the emulator.
If that dude is including ROMS with that thing, it's a huge legal no no....
You don't need that thing BTW, just hit the BYOAC forums and all mame and cabinet questions will be answered!

It's the same thing with anybody who you can get the ROMS from on DVD, only this guy put them on a hard drive.

When I finally get around to working on our MAME machine I want as plug n' play as I can get. I already have 20 DVDs full of ROMS but would rather have the entire thing easier...
