Tips for Wells Gardner 19K7201 with Pentranic chassis from Midway Touch Master
The monitor I have is from a Midway Touch Master game of some sort, circa 1999. I wanted to drive it with a 640x480 31kHz signal going into the VGA cable it came with and the adjustments were driving me crazy. Just could not get vertical sync working. This monitor, it turns out, REQUIRES separate horizontal and vertical sync on the standard VGA pins 13 (horizontal) and 14 (vertical). The chassis board and its included little daughterboard with 6 potentiometers give no apparent way to adjust vertical hold.
The chassis is a Pentranic 56TF1450F11 REV. 0 and the CRT tube itself is a Chungwa.
I think this monitor still needs caps since the red is a little weak, the horizontal phase pots are maxed out to just get it centered, and there is a mysterious blank line in the top few pixels when the monitor is set to anything other than a very short vertical height.
