I have stopped selling completed machines as per below, as I now have numbers to fulfill a second and final batch.

I number of you have mentioned they would like a kit of the cab . This can be be done if anyone is interested, I must admit I haven't thought about producing a kit , so I'll leave it open to suggestions as to what it should include.

Possible options:

1) Just the cab pieces to be assembled

2) A built cab - un-painted.

3) A built cab painted and with artwork stickers(Side art, CPO, and Bezel applied or un-applied)

If there's other options people would like, let me know. If there's a consensus on a kit that's feasible and enough people are interested I should be able to put something together for a reasonable price. Anyway let me know your interest in this and thoughts on options below:

Mortal Kombat and others:

Desktop of Micro Arcades. Ah the sounds of the 80's

$305 USD + shipping? For a 7" fake arcade game with a GBA SP in it?

I hope you do have other plans for your membership cause I don't see those selling here. Most of us are too cheap to spend much more than that on the real deal.

Not that anyone planned on buying one but if hes from australia using gamboys from over there, arent the games region locked?

Guys, Guys, Guys. This is the for sale area and he has something for sale. Why are you jumping on his for sale thread.

Someone out there may want one of these.

The GBA games are not region locked. That said the GBA SP's I use are sourced from the US.

That is a pretty kick-ass product you have there.

And just for your info vcoleiro1, there are basically two types of people on this site... Cheap bastards who think nothing is worth more than ten bucks... shipped, or well-to-do jerks who will drop a thousand bucks more than asking price for that poster without the bent corner.

That having been said, I'm closer to the former, but I do appreciate your product.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I got pointed to this site by another member, as Im a big retro Arcade fan I decided to join to discuss my Fav arcade games (Time Pilot, 1942, Moon Cresta ) etc and also to put this post up. It looks to be a cool place to talk about the old arcade days which I plan to do. I was starting to think after the first few posts that this was perhaps maybe not the place I thought it was.

I appreciate that $290 is not for everyone, I have actually helped for free over a 100 others build there own, which can be done with parts purchased here and there online for about $120 - $150.

I really wish I could sell these cheaper a I am only doing this as a hobby and enjoy spreading the retro love so to speak. But when the parts cost $120 - $150 and it takes about 4-5 days to build each one, its not possible. People think Im mad to make these for $140- $170 profit for a weeks work, but as I said its a hobby. That said, this will probably be the last batch of these that I make (this being the second batch). I think I have had enough and need to focus on other projects.

They are cool. I love them and think it's pretty awesome. I don't consider myself cheap or foolish (the 2 extremes described previously) so there are at least 3 kinds of people on this site. Good luck with your sales. Probably worth every cent just outside my budget. Don't give up on KLOV. Stick around!

yeah this is a cool place to hang out in and be part of the community. nice product
dont be offended by some bashing, the economy here in the usa is really bad. especially in michigan. so u may want to consider dropping the price a bit

Welcome to KLOV...
Those look great. Maybe have a how to thread on how you make these. I think alot of us would like to see a step to step process on how they are put togther, and what parts are needed for these.

At first, I thought it was just a model with some blinking lights. But when you fired it up, I was impressed. Very cool! Will I drop $305 USD? Not likely, as I've got a kid in college. Would I have 10yrs ago? In a heartbeat.

So if you're on KLOV you're either a bastard, a jerk, or stuffmonger? :/ I'm a semi-rich bastard who acts like a poor jerk. :D

These do look neat and all FWIW, but they're a GBA SP shell. They'd also be way cooler if the cabinets weren't all the same generic size/shape. I didn't consider on the other hand that you're in Oz and importing(?) GBA SPs which has to raise your costs significantly (since I assume you can't find the units used for next to nothing like you can here).

These would sell like hotcakes here if you made the kit without the GBA I bet. How much could that possibly cost?

Don't feel too bad, I tried to sell off my console collection of hundreds of minty/sealed grade A titles from all gens here. On neo-geo.com I was selling about $200-300 worth per day (on and off) for a couple weeks. From KLOV, same selection? Zilch. You gotta target the right audience (though this is pretty niche-y even for an arcade and console collector which makes it even tougher).

Best of luck tho.

LOVE the product! I made a mini neo-geo last summer out of love for my then unborn son, and tried selling it (mineoarcade.com) but it never really took off. I understand the wanting to move on to other creative projects, good luck!

The uncrate.com crowd is probably more the market for these, btw... if you bump the price another $200 US! =)

You can get these mini arcades from China for about $150 delivered
