Timonium, MD auction check in...

Saw some of you at the York show today!! Couldn't go to the Baltimore auction, but I heard that Green Coin bought back most of the pins he took...what he usually does! But I suppose there were some good deals???
Video gamers missed good deals...they guy right next to me sold working asteroids deluxe good shape $200, Centipede Millipede Missle Command 25" $400, Gyruss working no side art $75, (Space Invaders working $200, he also had a bunch of newer vids...didn;t even look for prices...I only had my van and I went back to TNT with two of the 5 pins I took!
There wasn;t anyone else with vids cheap---there were some inside, but Jailbreak was $199, an ugly Frogger $399, and an ugly Ms Pacman $599--however,the guy may have been flexible on prices...there were other vids there too,...but I had NO room to buy any and bring back!! Todd

I'll post pics from the show later tonight. I heard there was a stabbing not to long ago and an innocent bystander was flown to shock trauma. Anyone know what happened?

That Asteroids Deluxe would have gone home with me if i had gone and seen it.

Long story short, I drove to York, was very dissapointed in the outside area combined with the lack of parts vendors inside, then drove down to Timonium, through a parking lot full of drunks and couldnt believe how much crap was left at the auction. I had to leave there before I picked up a bidders num.

Then said screw it and drove to northern va to pick up a parts cab that Buffet deluvered for me down there. I have family there.

So all in all i spent a small fortune in gas for not much return. I dont think im doing it again next year...if anything Ill check out timonium again but thats it. Just got in at 2am.

Yeah... the auction was kinda meh. Much smaller than usual, and surprisingly pretty expensive on a lot of stuff that would have normally gone cheap. Lots of buy backs as well... though probably not any more than usual.

I grabbed a SF Rush 2049 SE. Unfortunately, I only got one... though I would have had to make a second trip for another anyway, so I guess it worked out. I really wanted to snag a few Hydro Thunders as well, but that would have been a nightmare trying to get them all home, and into the basement.

I got the Ripleys, it does have a few probs, but got it home replaced the microswitch on the midfield upkicker, cleaned the playfield (did a minor repair) and currently plays pretty well. I will replace the upper idol magnet core (part on order) and it should play very well. I sits well next to my Scared Stiff....

I traveled up to York Friday, went to the show first thing for a few hours then headed down to the Auction at 11am. Plenty of time to play pins and vids there too.

Anyone stick around to catch the prices on the pins on the other side of the warehouse, Tales From the Crypt, Batman, etc..
