Timonium, MD auction check in...

I'm thinking about coming down from NJ for the day.. Never been to an auction.
Are their typically good deals to be had at these things?

Considered it but not sure if I'll go past the York show ;-)

What day are you going? I plan on going Saturday. I hope I get to meet some fellow KLOVers this time. 2 years in a row I've went and I have yet to run into anybody from the forums. . at least that I know of. I'm sure they were there.. just didn't know them.

Auction

I planned on checking it out, Last year's event is what started me down this addicitve journey. I just happened to be passing by the fair grounds and saw the advertisment and thought it would be cool to check-out, I was really too late to buy anything but as soon as I got home I started doing research on-line and 1 year later its 10 games and still looking.

Prob Saturday...I'll try to get there a little early this time, AND bringing the big ass box truck so I don't miss out on a crapload of deals like I did last year. Of course, I have absolutely zero room so i dont know what I would do with anything anyway LOL.

It seems EVERY year for years that TWO arcade events are programmed for the same stupid weekend!!!!! Sadly, some are choosing one and not the other---very few can do both! Will it be the BIG auction, where there is supposed to be a record number of machines available? Or will it be the fun York Pinball Show (where I am going) where the food is good (that dutch country food!!!) and PLENTY of games to play, and best of all, ME---out in the parking lot hawking my old mechanical pintables????? WELL????????

I considered going to whiterose also but thats a way out for me.Judging from pics I have seen of past shows it looks to be mostly pins? Why is it considered a show? Are they revealing new and upcoming machines coming to the market,or are people just coming to show off/view machines?

I'll be at the York show on Sat. Wish I could go to both, but I've been going to York for about 10 years now, and it's a great way to get your fill of pins. Yes there ARE mostly pins, but I can play vids in my basement.:D

I'm heading up to the York show with my pal, he is bringing about eight em pins to sell and I am bringing eight to ten videos to sell in the flea market.

A few of the vids are:; two nice Space Invaders, Up scope, Millipede, EM Sea Raider,Three in one Atari (Centipede,Millipede,Missile Command) may bring Death Race if ready, Sea Wolf if ready,Area 51 just to name a few..........
