ok where to start, I have replaced my boards with modified system 3 to take system 6 config.Burned new roms, caped the power supply. The old board had original battery's from the 80's in it so acid damage was a huge factor when i got it.

Ok i have it where it starts up i go to play it it registers player 1-4 does not eject the ball or any coils.I ran a playfield test with the old board and it passed. It is not with this one.I can touch the contacts to score points just no coils. There is a loud buzz coming from the playfield.

Any help what so ever is greatly appreciated.

p.s.
This is my first pinball.

Remove the balls, lift the playfield and determine exactly where that buzz is coming from. If the buzzing is coming from a solenoid you most likely have a have a bad transistor. Download the manual and find out which transistor drives that solenoid and put your DMM on Ohms, put ground on ground strap and put red on backside of transistor. If it reads zero your transistor failed and is open causing your solenoid to stick on.

The buzz sound is the speaker.Checked the resistors on the solenoids and they passed. The flippers work aswell. When i press start all 4 players are automatically joined.

I was at a person's place recently who had one of these, and they said it has an annoying noise but that is actually part of the game play, and it gets MORE annoying as you go further on to throw the player off. Is there any chance that might be what you're hearing?

I have looked up youtube videos and no it is not what i am hearing.More like a bad ground, or bad audio going out.The game is very faint hearing.

Glad you found a vid to reference. I just wanted to make sure you weren't chasing a tail in regard to a sound that's actually supposed to be there! :D

I had no sound and just a loud static buzz all the time.I went in to test mode and when it got to audio section it worked. Now i have working audio now.
