After staring at my Millipede cabinet standing in the corner for too long, I am going to start working on getting it back up and running. It 'plays blind'' so god knows what it will need to get running again.

1) My first question is about the trackball. Mine is pretty awful looking and it doesn't roll well at all. My gut tells me to just buy a new one, but this forum has taught me that the original parts sometimes work better than even the best new replacement parts. Should I fix the original or just get a new one?

2) One of the start buttons is missing. It is one of those little conical Atari buttons. Is there a good place to get these from? I might just buy a pair of them so they match.

3) My last question (for the moment) is about the Multipede kit sold by Braze Technologies. Has anybody used this? It looks like a great product. Very simple to set up and use.

Thanks for any help guys!

Start with checking the multiple threads related to your specific monitor problem. There are a number of threads related to Millipede monitor issues.

1.) dismantle the trackballl, clean the case and the ball, order new rollers and bearings.

2.) if you go with new, order 2

3.) why not just have a centipede sitting next to your millipede, I have heard of lots of problems with those kits.

I just put multipede in my millipede cocktail. Love it!

The only downside is that my kids can reset my game by hitting 1P+2P start if they want me to stop playing.

Can't help with the monitor. Mine was dropping red when I got it. Lots of trouble shooting later, and all I could do was secure all the cables with tie wraps. Flaky connection somewhere I guess.
