Time to call it quits and my time has come to and end!!!

That is for collection personal games for my arcade of course. (L.O.L) I am finally done and hope not to change anything for a long time. There are two others that I want, but both cost to much right now since they are newer games. The Tin Star was the last piece to my puzzle. I was just about to trach this cab until I looked at it again the next day. It is a different Taito cab which I never seen before. The base the normally is separate is actually attached to the side. Its just on whole piece. I thought someone did this at first and until I laid it down and looked at the bottom. There is a few other things different as well. I dont no if this is an early run or late run, but it is diffently different. Anyway I finished some repairs to the front base, cleaned her up and played Tetris for a little while with my games in order to fit everything. Now all I have to do is paint some of the black areas on some of my cab which I figured would be a good winter project since I can do them where they stand. I will now concentrate on selling all my left over Taito kits and mountain of parts I made during the shifting of the games. Pics are on my flickr now of my revised games and layout if anyone cares. http://www.flickr.com/photos/djdns/

Thanks to all that help me get the games and parts I needed.

I hate to admit that I'm a smidge disappointed... I thought this was going to be another "I'm leaving" thread.

Not that I would want you to leave, I'm just saying. Those kinda threads are always a fun freakshow. Awesome that your collection is 'nearly complete'!

Say it isn't so! Where are we all going to get parts from now? LOL
Congrats on getting all the games you want, but I'm sure there will be more.

I was thinking the same thing

You should learn how to imbed pics. I've tried looking thru your Flickr links before and I feel like I am looking at the visual equivilent of Tolstoy's War and Peace.

Yeah I figured that title would have brought tears to some and joy to one or two people out there, but I'm not going nowhere, Sorry! I'm just done with getting games for my personal collection, and I know there are hundreds of more games out there, but nothing that I can say I want or want to deal with trying to make arcade cuts. I had most of the good title games (Tempest,Black Widow,Food Fight, Crazy Climbers etc, but never grew up playing them so pass them on to other that have. I have two machines now (Commando & Ikari Warriors) that I'm having a hard time letting go, so I might just keep these in the garage next to my sit downs and one day tackle clearing out one side of my garage for them. I have them for sale now, but dont really want to sell them.

Thats going to be another winter project. I will be deleting everything from my Flickr page soon and will update it with parts that I currently have. I'm going to try to attempt to put pics up of everything I have for sale or trade now that I'm done with these games. I just need to make some floor space.

I need to do that with my Photobucket page. I think I have 1500 photos hosted there. The only sucky part is that if I delete them, it breaks all bonds with all of my imbedded images over 5 years.

Yes I will still continue buyer, fixing, selling & trading games. I'm just not getting or keeping anything else for myself. I'm going to work on clearing my floors and movie room so I can enjoy my basement again. Its been a mess because I kept adding and selling games out of my basement. Now everything stays an prey I dont get anymore offers for my personal games I cant turn down. I'm definetly not adding anything else and it also helps I have no room. I'm very happy with my set up & choice of games now.

It's called a moment of clarity and closure so embrace it. It's a huge relief when you can look around and think, "I am truly happy with what I have and I couldn't care less if I get another one." I hit that stage about a year ago with vids.
I have a couple more pins to buy and I am seriously just done with buying anymore crap.
You'll be amazed how much more time you'll spend doing other things in your life instead of constantly scanning CL or trying to swing deals using other means.
And imagine actually having time now to play your machines :)

Yes that is what I'm looking forward to. Actually playing some games and being able to have floor space to fit more that one person down here at a time. My wife and son might even be able to come down here soon (not sure about the wife), but my son would love too.

I don't believe it.

This is a sickness and you are not cured.

Once again this is not a cold turkey withdrawl. I will still deal with games, I'm just not getting anything for myself. I happy with the conditions of all my games and placement. Unless I got a game that I currently have now that was still in the box is the only way I would chance anything.

I checked out Darryl's basement about a month ago picking up a game.. his game collection is amazing.. and the condition of each game A+. Id love to see the collection once all the extra parts are cleared out. There wasnt much room to checkout the games when I was there.

Very, very nice! I love this game and many of many fond memories playing this bitd...

I was always under the impression this was *kit only* game. I've seen many converted Jungle Hunts/Kings housing this game. It seems your cabinet has the Wild Western color scheme yet inverted! Very interesting and let me know when you're selling!:D

Yeah I have probably about 20 or so different Taito cabs pass my hands and never seen one like this. Even the way the bezel goes in is different. You actually put it in from the front and not the back. I wish they made all of them like this machine. I wont be selling this. It took a long time to find all the dedicated Taito cabs, but I finally did. I will be selling a Tin Star, Wild Western and maybe a Front Line Kit in the next day or so. I'm trying to put them together now and clear some space to take pics.

Yeah, don't do that. I hate going back to old threads only to find the the poster has deleted his images.
