The game is a time pilot that was converted from a crazy climber cocktail before I had it, as you will see in the pictures they used a weird adapter of some kind between the pcb connector and the connections, I dont know why but the game played great so I just left it. The extra connector finally cracked so I figured I would just remove it and attach the wires to the pcb connector and carefully traced back each wire and labelled them so I would hook everything up right. Well the result was a distorted picture with nothing working right and then the power supply started to smoke, I have no idea how I did that but now I cant even turn the game on to check voltages or anything. What could go so wrong to cause this?? It seemed like such a simple fix...any ideas about what caused this???

You may have shorted something when using a metal vice to hold it together.. Just a guess, but man.. A metal vice? Not a good idea.. It screams "short me now!!"

The blue connector with the vice on it is gone now...thats what I removed and the soldered everything to the pcb connector. This is a picture of the current wiring. Thats when it started smoking, I shorted something but cant figure out where
