I picked up a Time Machine pin today. The unit had been sitting for a few years. When it is powered on, the lights come on the back display and back half of the play field. THere is a bass like hum that emits from the lower speaker. any ideas on making this boot would be awesome. The wires that come out of the top r of the power supply board get really hot, they seem to be blackening the platic coupler. Even moving this on and off will not allow the unit to boot...thanks

Brian

if anyone has a power supply board for sale let me know as well.

does yours have an emi filter in the switch? i just had to rebuild the power switch in my maverick to get it to boot it had sat for a few years as well, maybe that is your hum?

but do listen to lindsey first:)

Is there acid damage on the cpu board? That is the first major thing to check. If you do have acid damage, you are in for a rough road. Online info/schematics for Data East boards suck. DE cpu's stand as the only pin repair projects I've had to throw in the towel on and call in the pro's.

If you want to just send off all your boards and get them back in tested working shape, I know a guy who does great DE work. I just got back my Jurassic Park CPU and PSU from him. Man, that cpu was write-off material it was so acid damaged in my book. He had it working in a day, bench burnt it for 2 days, and shipped them right back.

The power supply board is shot. I need a new one. Item #520-5000-00. if anyone has a used on laying around let me know.
