Hi all!

I'm looking to get some help diagnosing an issue that's recently come up with the monitor in my Time Crisis SD. There's a sticker on the side that says Toshiba E39164, LR27012 if that helps (I'm not a monitor guy).

After 5 minutes of working fine, the game begins to flicker. A few moments later the screen completely shuts off, but the sound remains. I turn off the whole system, and about a minute later there's an audible electronic "click" from inside the cabinet. If I try to turn it on before this click the screen will still be shut off. If I let it sit for a while after this click it will start up fine again.

Do these symptoms point to any obvious issue? Like I said I'm not a monitor guy, but I really do like getting hands on with electronics. Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks

probably going into HV shutdown. start by recapping it and checking for broken solder on the chassis.

I finally got a chance to recap and it went pretty well. The monitor doesn't shut off anymore but it does still flicker. Messing around inside I found that there was one ribbon cable that seemed to be the culprit. I don't know the technical names but it ended up being the cable that connects the main monitor board to the smaller board that has control knobs. If i plug it back in the monitor works for a while but for some reason it will go back to flickering. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement ribbon cable for a Nanao MS9? It has 12 wires and one side is smaller than the other. Thanks!
