Hey all-
I'm far from a expert on using my ROM burner, and I want the Timber Free Play ROM. I can find the PATCH file, but I don't know how to apply that to the ROM. So I'm looking for a patched ROM file that I can load into my ROM burner.
Here is the page that has the patched ROM's:
http://users.rcn.com/jenison/mars/romhacks/

I want to get the Timber Free Play hack, but it only comes as a patch file, and I'm not sure how to combine that with the original ROM file.
Any help?

You need the java patcher (available on that page):

Patcher

Java version
Version 1.2: patcher.jar - java -jar patcher.jar <romfile> <patchfile>

You then run from a command line:

"java -jar patcher.jar <romfile> <patchfile>"

Where it says "romfile" put the path to your ROM (dump yours) and where it says "patchfile" put the path to your patchfile

If anybody would be willing to apply this patch to the ROM for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I've tried to figure this out, and I can't get it. So frustrated....

1) Download the patcher
2) Stick it in the root of your C drive
3) Stick your ROM file and the Patch file in this same root of your C drive
4) Are you on windows? If so, go to START > RUN > "CMD"
5) Now, type this:

java -jar patcher.jar ROMFILENAME PATCHFILENAME

If you can't do it, e-mail me your dumped ROM and I'll try doing it on my mac. I did this for my Tapper and TRON. It was a little tricky to get the paths right, but it's not hard.
