I was just at a Tilt arcade and they have a Spring/Summer blowout sale going on again. Everything was marked with prices like last fall.
Super GT twin $495
Skee Ball $ 595
Marvel Vs Capcom 2 $295

Edit: Here is a You Tube video of a Texas location. Lots of $195 games and $295 Rush twin.

Our local one was doing that,I went to check them out a couple weeks ago and there closed down.

Nice. I'll need to see if any of the ones I remember are still around. I know the one in Greenspoint Mall was doing it last year, but I dunno if they're still there now.

Those are some damn fine prices in that video, though.

Sure they do. Go there and the little stuffed bears will lead you there while giggling all the way...

Tilt usually only sells games in December, this is unusual. The prices are not unusual though. Clearly they want to get rid of stuff, but I seriously doubt it's to make room for new equipment.

I got a road burners a while back from the tilt in Indianapolis the manager said it was to reduce inventory company wide he said he sold three silent scopes cheap in December and they brought three more in January some good prices at your store though cheapest dual sit down was 795 in Indy

The Tilt at the mall I grew up near easily ran 150 games or so in 1990 (massive, massive space), they had about 25 games in that same space last time I was there before the mall closed, and almost all of those games were broken in some way or another.

I imagine with locations constantly closing they do indeed need to continually cut down on their inventory.

The Tilt in Newark CA was selling a Daytona twin for $150 and a Wing Wars twin for $99 that I wanted to buy, but I went there over the weekend and they were already gone.

Last christmas I got these from Tilt. Waterloo, IA

SanFran Rush the Rock dual setup (working) $295
Daytona USA dual setup (working) $195
NeoGeo 6 slot (working, its now favorite cab) $95
Two Silent Scopes (both working) $195 each
Wing Wars dual setup (working) $95

And right now they are doing a sale again, but most of the prices aren't as low as they get during christmas.

They do have a Marvel Vs Capcom 2 in a Konami Turtles cab for $295 I am sort of interested in.

The Tilt that was here in the Pueblo, CO mall closed a while back.

They were also selling everything off. Didn't even get a piece of it.

MvC, MvC2, Daytona USA, CvS2, KOF, there were some fun ones to be sure.

Of course, not too many people went to Tilt either!

I had arranged to pickup the wing wars on the last day of the x-mas sale (manager even offered to stay late), but last minute I passed. I did not have the heart to gut a semi rare it for its monitors. Hopefully it went to a good home.

Went by the one in Katy TX tonight and the prices were nowhere near that good. Everything ranged from 500 to 3000. Best deal was a nice dual time crisis 2 for 500.

Hey, that's my video! LOL!

Edit: When I bought the Lighthouse I was talking to the workers and they said they had no idea when a sale starts or ends. As soon as they get an email from the corporation, it starts, or it ends. Also, whenever you buy a game they take all locks and prizes (not a big deal), but I had to pay extra to keep the coin mech. Oh well, still a good deal on my part. Considering games here in south Texas are usually $300 for a working vid, which is a great deal sadly around here.

This sounds like the end for that Tilt location. The tilt by me had their "yearly sale", the kid working told me they do it every year just to clear out the games and get fresh ones in. Well they sure did clear out the games, and also closed the doors for good.

I am friends with the manager of the mall. They were clearing out games so they could move location to another space in the mall. They won't be closing anytime soon. Hopefully...

Its closed, there is a sign on the door asking you to visit the arcade in the new movie theatre next door.
