Hello,

This may be a stupid question so I apologize in advance. I have a few ticket dispensers that are malfunctioning. (I think the gears are seized up on at least one of them, Wheel Deal machine).

Are these assemblies interchangeable between manufacturers? (The one in question is a dual feed, 4 pin mechanism).

Any info you have is appreciated.

thank you!

Not the assemblies but generally the wiring is the same (12 volts, ground, drive, signal)
so you can use an Entropy in place of a Deltronic. The mounting plates are generally the
same too.

There are used Deltronic DL-1275s on Ebay starting at $18 right now.

Hi orion, i'm in Wisconsin. I think I'm going to check around the facility for a different assembly, and put it in temporarily to make sure it works. the ones acting up are in a Wheel Deal game from Benchmark Games.

Do love the speed on Entropy but they can't be reversed..

The Deltronics are waaay cheaper and pretty reliable in my experience.

I've always liked the Entropys but one downside I've noticed is
they tend to produce a lot of dust compared to the Deltronics.

The Deltronics "validate" the tickets with by mashing a pattern into
the tickets where the Entropys poke holes in the tickets.

I did a bit more onsite investigating on this today.... for what its worth... I tried to take a Deltronic DL-480 and put it in place of the one in the Benchmark Wheel Deal and mounting the DL-480 will be a challenge. the Benchmark unit actually just sits on two 'posts' at the bottom, and then the top clicks into the door panel with a click pin, no physical tightening of screws, or frankly, no screwdrivers required. just set the assembly on the posts, and click the top into place, plug in the wire harness... the DL-480 seems like it wants four screws/nuts all around (not to mention the benchmark has two ticket tracks vs the single track of the Deltronic. I didn't actually try to plug the DL-480 in to see if it operates properly due to the effort involved to make it work.

I'm still going to dig a bit.... stay tuned.

Sounds like you have an Intelli-Dual ticket dispenser mounted to the special door Benchmark makes for these. No way to fit a Deltronics or Entropy on that door. You may need to call Benchmark to buy a new ticket dispenser. However, they discontinued the Inteli-Dual, and now they only sell a 3 ticket dispenser unit, so the door has to be swapped too. Hat that Benchmark set up, you are pretty well married to Benchmark with that shitz.

myco, you hit the nail on the head... UGH... as a temporary solution.. I took a dispenser from a Slam a winner game that has a bad belt motor and put it into the wheel deal machine..

as I get more familiar with these machines, I can tell that the Benchmark line isn't very service friendly... :(

thanks everyone!

Damn, seriously?
I've never dealt with it, but thought it was an interesting idea.

Well, up until now.
