I recently acquired a Thunder Blade stand up and had a few questions as to where to start. It powers up and has a red light on the PCB as well as the LED on the control stick. It has what looks like an aftermarket power supply and there has been some wire cutting involved here. :) the power switch has no wires connected to it. The monitor in it had a broken neck tube so he gave me 2 others, one listed as working and the other with no label. I tried the unlabeled one first because the power connector matches. I only get a white or green screen depending on tweaking the pots on the chassis. I dont hear any sound or reaction to coining or up or pushing the start button. There is also some pretty bad corrosion/oxidation on the gears for the controls.

Does anybody have a suggestion where I should start?

Thanks for any help!

Dustin

Ok, thanks pseeds! I had a blown fuse, I guess that is the first thing you are supposed to check. Do you have a procedure you use when troubleshooting problems?

It is now playable other than monitor issues and corroded controls that I need to clean. I also have no sound and don't know what to check next. There are 2 components that appear to be sound related and I have +12v at one of them but I'm not sure what is what. One of them have been replaced and has a tag with a different games name on it. Maybe an amp? I will post pictures tomorrow.

Either way thanks for your help!
