Yesterday I received a upright Thunder blade in very good condition for a very reasonable $35. I was told that the monitor (k7000) would constantly blow fuses. I tested this two or three times and noticed it did do just that. Each time I would check some small things before retrying it. Anyway after one of them I could not get the game to play blind as it had been doing before. Today I had planed to add a battery to the suicide battery and remove the original one, but I fear maybe it died last night. I did not see a reset button on it anywhere and the test switched fail to do anything as they had before. None of the fuses in the power supply were bad. I have a dim working monitor from a frogger hooked up that has burn in from outrun I think but I could not see any images on the screen. Any suggestions before I am left to find some new eproms and put in a 68000? I am going to order a kit for the k7000 and redo the flyback (did notice a crack in it but no spewing yet), hot, and caps and I think that will fix that part. Thank you again for all the great help everyone offers up here!

Update, I just tested the suicide battery and it is not dead so the problem must be somewhere else. any suggestions on what I should check would be great

Update 2: I found the video problem was with the neck board on my test monitor is cranky and needs to be pushed on once in a while to get it to work. anyways successfully replaced the suicide battery, now I need to fix the installed monitor and fix some other small things but other then that everything seems to be working well.
