Day off, hit one of the larger local thrift stores.

I took a flashlight to shine in the vent slots, hoping to find a fat neck tube to use for a G07 swap. Of course, most of the tvs were newer 19" with the skinny neck or 20".

I brought home a 1993 Sears TV, with a Rauland A48ACB24X tube. From what I'm reading, that crosses to the WG med res monitor. Am I correct in thinking this would work in a color XY Amplifone or the WG med res in a Paperboy?

Also got a 13" Hitachi from 1985 in nice shape with a Hitachi 370LGB22 tube that looks new. Hoping the neck will swap to a 13" I have with nasty burn. That might be my first swap project.

I'd like to tackle this and swap tubes in a few of my G07 and 4600 monitors. My Gorf has terrible Ms Pac burn, etc..

I think the A48ACB24X is a standard res tube. When you get around to tearing apart those TVs, send me the info on them (make/model/tube #/and ohms readings off the yoke (horizontal and vertical).

The A48ACB24X uses a CR23 neck socket, so it is a good candidate for most any 19" monitor.
The yoke is what will determine whether it is a direct swap or if you have to change yokes. (for standard res, medium res, etc)

The 370LGB22 is a CR31 neck socket, not sure what all uses that one.
