Thanks.

As for the step, the member I bought the Battlezone from included the step in the sale. Better contact him on where to get it.

Note however, the hole to mount the step were off center alot. Make sure to get that remedied when you do order your repro step.

The member I got it from was mjm697

Well, these three are now ready to be put back together. All three completely stripped, sanded down, bondoed, sanded again, and finishes applied.

All black and Moon Patrol blue was sprayed in a booth at my buddies cabinet factory with a high end satin laquer paint (not cheap, but well worth the hard finish), and all white visible was done with p lam thin laminate.

All cabinets are near factory fresh minty goodness, and are ready for art application:

so im sorry,, again.. what did you do to restore these?

Did I ever mention, I HATE STENCILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I do.

I got around to doing one side of the Moon Patrol today, everything was going really well until I started peeling the stencil off for the yellow final layer. For some reason my hand slipped while pulling, and the sticky stencil rolled back and touched the "M".

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, suffice to say I was pissed when it smugged two decent size sections of the first part of the "M".

So, I let it dry, tapped it off, and re-sprayed. It turned out ok, but now you see where I had to tape. Too scared to mess with it to TRY and reduce the amount of visibility of the tape lines.

Well side one is here, what you think?

I forgot to mentions the lacquer spray paints I am using are a near perfect match and AMAZING to work with. Dry so fast, and give a beautiful eggshell finish. F@cking expensive, but sooooo worth it:

Moon Patrol is probably my favorite stencil art. Man, that came out just fine. Don't sweat shit like that, you'll make yourself nutz. It looks great!

Well, Battlezone is coming to an end. I ran out of Takeman repro power brick housings, so I sandblasted the original and powdercoated black along with the coin door and metal brackets.

Thank you to:

Takeman for the repro cp
barristr for the NOS joystick grommets
Phoenixarcade for the art
and anyone else I may have forgotten

The only thing left to figure out is the fire button. Its not working on mine. I think I wired it wrong and soldered it wrong at the switch.

If anyone of you can please show me good pics of how to wire it on both ends, I would be much appreciated, or point me to a good thread which already shows it. (since I cant seem to fins one)

2. add starter and bulb
3. connect speaker
4. put a new connector on transformer
5. finish restoring back doors

Thanks to:

Time to go enjoy the long weekend with the wife and kids. Heading to Niagara Falls for a few nights. Yeaaaah!
