So we have a lot of sub thread categories.

Not everyone reads these daily/weekly, etc. So sometimes people post in the main section here and ask a question or comment that really belongs in the sub category. (I admit I have done this too.)

So I have a question:

Is that process okay, and when the thread gets an answer or some discussion, then it gets moved into the correct section?

Or should we as a group make it a habit to read each of these sections from time to time?

Just my 2 cents.

You do not have to read every section. Each section has it's own purpose, which is to direct each person to their own sub-interest. Posting in the correct section makes it faster to find something that you are interested in without having to go through whatever is going through someone's head at that particular moment.

posting in the proper section is preferred.

I know that some people want to get more eyeballs on their thread and just put it in the general discussion.

Then it gets reported

and one of us has to move it to the proper section.

More eyeballs is what I was asking about. ;)

I understand about posting in the correct section and I agree.

I'll try personally to do what I am asking others to do.

I agree. Post in the proper section.
