Might have a chance to pick one of these up. I've been looking for a ride on/motorcycle/open cockpit type game lately. Since I live on the lake and we do have jet skis, this seems like the perfect game for us. Is it any fun? Is it a lot like Hydro thunder crossed with Arctic thunder? Are the controls intuitive? Is there any motion? What kind of monitors do these things have?

Trying to figure out exactly when this game came out. The copyright says 2001 on the screen, KLOV says somewhere around 1996, and then I think another version came out in 2003? I think the one I'm looking at is the 2001 version. Does this come with a standard CRT monitor, rear projection, medium Rez, digital?

Original WaveRunner came out in 1996, WaveRunner GP runs on a Naomi and came out in 2001. Since it's Naomi, the monitor is probably standard or VGA. I wouldn't be surprised if the cabinet has a tri sync though. The manual says they shipped with Wells Gardner monitors.

Well, it looks pretty washed out and predominantly blue, so I'm assuming it's gonna need a cap kit or a replacement depending on how bad it is. Just wondering monitor type so I kinda know what I'm dealing with in case I end up with this machine.

I'd say that's mostly just magnetism, you could probably get away with running a deguass to clean most of it up. You may need a degaussing wand though.
If the manual is right, it may be a Wells D9200, not fun to recap. Try asking the seller for a pic of the inside, maybe you can ID it that way?

Well, sadly, after I messaged him, messenger basically gave me the advice that he probably won't get back to me. "Based on this seller's lack of responses to other buyers, would you like to retract your message and look at other options?" I'm like "What? Nah send it anyway."

haven't played Wave Runner but I used to collect big games, I had Arctic Thunder Deluxe in our living room LOL, it did have a rumble seat, only thing I ever did was replace some buttons and the taillight, never got into the monitor since it always worked great.

I set up Waverunner GP in a standup cabinet using a Crazy Taxi steering wheel and Pedals (for the throttle). Had fun playing it for a while and reminded me of Wave Race 64. I also played one of the full motion cabinets add the Weirs Beach Arcade which was really cool but would take up a whole lot of space. Only thing I remember being disappointed about was the limited number of tracks (3) and the lack of tricks (compared to Wave Race 64).
