Any ideas on where to look? Monitor is a WG19k4951

- The monitor has been recapped.
- The wavy lines do not start until after 10 to 15 min of operation.
- Image does the same thing with different pcbs.
- Have tried different power supplies
- Image can be corrected by just disconnecting and reconnecting monitor power and leaving game running. It will go bad agin in about 10 min
- Adjustments on monitor make no difference (no flicker, change or correction)

I am thinking it is still a component on the board, but which one.

Thanks for any help

for me the problem seems to be intermittent leading me to believe its a cold solder issue. i've heard and seen that the 4900 series tend to have a lot of solder cracks. i would pull the chassis and visually inspect it and reflow any possible areas.

The 4900 series is plagued with cold solder joints. Particularly at the outer periphery of the main board.

Where did you buy your capkit?

well I followed the most common choice and re-soldered all the joints on the board. I then took a good look at everything through a jewelers loupe and did not really see anything that popped out. So it is back in service going on 30 min now.... no problems. One other thing is colors seem brighter and sharper after the reflow???? Hope it all stays working well, thanks to all that contributed
