That guy hanging off the Tron machine sucks six ways from Sunday; I can tell just by looking. He needs an "elbow smash", Double Dragon style. As if anyone wants to smell his armpit.

That scenario they cooked up for that photoshoot is funny; given that the kid playing Tron is 3 foot fuckall, and it would be far easier for him to just watch the main monitor than hang off the machine and crane his neck looking at the "auxiliary monitor".

BTW, I never saw those "auxiliary monitors" in any arcades I went to as a kid. I wouldn't mind having one though. They would make for a nice test monitor for arcade game boards, or a monitor for certain game consoles and home computers that can output 15 KHz RGB.

I remember seeing those in few arcades back in the day. Usually on top of a new arrival. When Dragon's Layer hit..the only way you could see the gameplay was on the monitor sitting on top of the game...since there was a wall of people in front of the game 5' deep. Plus the fact that was so short didnt help either.....

it would look really cool on a tron, come to to think of it that's the game i saw it on back in the day!! let's keep our eye out!! some one's gotta have one of these!!

The arcade by me had 7 dragon's lair machines all lined up next two each other and the 3 center DL machines had the monitors on top of them. It was really cool looking to see all of that.

I don't recall seeing them other than on Dragon's Lair.

They must have been big at the tradeshows, so you could see what was going on even if someone was play testing a game. Probably explains the occasional set of holes on the side of battlezone as well.
