This sounds like a sad, boring Joint

SALES PRICE: The seller is asking $58,000 for the business which includes all the equipment, (est. value- $36,500).

Ok it is worth 36,00 but he wants 58,000. Let me bend over.

Wait it did include a gumball machine. :D

Whats up with the "Big Buck Hands" - sounds like a game where you play some kind of rapist or molester?

I would pay his asking price just to get "Driving Game" and "Candy Crain".

(Not price police, just trying to be funny)

If you weren't scared off by the price, then this should finish the job (of scaring off, that is):

"Since the business just opened at the beginning of 2009 there are no financials to review."

If no accounting has been performed since January, I think it's clear why the business is in trouble.

"Nasa Space, Horse, Carousel, Baz Be Panic, Driving Game, Sports Arena, Gum Ball Machine, Jewelry Crain, Stuff Animal Crain, Candy Crain, Alien Exterminator, Big Buck Hands, Stacker 5000, Capsule Machine"

(For future reference - those titles are priceless!)

Sounds like a great opportunity - you could either make enough to pay your rent, or not.

I think the owner "Baz Be Panic'in" about now.

Driving Game was awesome, but Driving Game II was even better. Driving Game III sucked though; but then, Game Company was clearly having issues when they made that one. All of their games from that year, e.g., Fighting Game IV, Shooting Game II, and New Game XVIII were all major disappointments compared to their predecessors.

I've heard that Driving Game IV is in development, and early reports indicate that Game Company has gotten its act together for this one. Unfortunately it will not see an arcade release. It is going straight to Game Console³.

I knew a employee who was able to score a Driving Game IV prototype board for me. He said there were only 4 made. I put it in a Driving Game III cab.
He told me the company is in redevelopment. They are working on a new line called "Fly Game", "Chillaxin Game", and "OMG Game".

C'mon guys run the financials. Not counting the fact that you are getting a huge bargain at only $2,250 or so per game (including the 2 coin changers), but at $60 per day x 30 days = $1800 per month - $1,200 per month rent means that you have $600 per month to pay off your $540 per month loan to buy the business. Meaning you get to work 5 hours a day all month for a $60 take home check!!!!!!!

Whoo Hoo!! Eat you heart out all you infomercial real estate millionaire tycoons. Don't you wish you could be so lucky!

Damn! Sign me up!

Edit: Oh I forgot, you will have to pay taxes on that $60 a month...

he should've posted lease info on that too. as others have said, 20k profit on 36.5 worth of stuff is a ripoff. maybe if the lease is paid through the end of the year or something. i'd like to know if he seriously gets 60-200 per day though. that sounds like a lot. the arcade/gumball machine place in my local mall gets more like 6-20 a day...

I'm pretty sure it's a joke.

(I hope)

i dunno.... seems like a lot of people don't have a clue on prices in general even with the economy the way it is. there's an arcade/CEC type of place on sale here on CL that started around 80k or so, and now it's down to around 30k, still available.

Another local craigslist freek. What the hell is wrong with people around here Phet?!

People just don't seem quite 'right' here. Have you ever been to the MOMA Arcade Auction? That will give you better insight into most of the arcade freaks in the state, and tell you a tale you wish you never heard.
