Why are some 45's twice as thick as others. I have both in mine I was told that the thick ones were meant for jukeboxes is that true or were the thin ones just cheaper....Just curious. I try to use thick thick records when possible..... Thanks.....Dave
 
I think in the "how to clean records" thread, one of the links talks about this. If I remember right, the thick records are made of vinyl, and the thin ones are made of styrene. The styrene ones were cheaper to produce so the newer ones are usually thinner.
