Well I glad a fellow KLOVer got this Tapper. I would've hated to see someone buy it at their garage sale and start hacking it up to put their Xbox in it!
I was the one who posted the CL link here on KLOV. That was an amazing steal!

I really haven't bought many games lately. As I said, just two this year. Well, up until last night anyway.

Wow! Plucked out of my own backyard. Don't know how I missed that one. I applaud you sir.
I am in the midst of restoring a tapper. I was wondering if anyone has had luck with re-plating the cup holders. I notice that the brass is not all over and that the metal is either pot metal or aluminum. If it is aluminum my guess is that it is an anodized finish. I see some have painted, some have powder coated and some have brass plated but I have yet to see pictures of brass plating them. I'd like to go as original as possible. My bezel looks good except for all the black which is the majority of the finish. It is mostly bubbling up and peeling off. I was going to exacto knife the black as close to the mirror part and then scrape it off and then just paint the black back on after masking the inner edge. Has anyone tried this?
