This is what a $50 Tapper looks like.

Is that a tapestry of Dogs Playing Poker in the background? EPIC!

Why yes it is. I normally don't have a game in front of it. But now that you point it out, it does kind of go with the Tapper game doesn't it? I'll have to figure out a way to work that in somehow!

The rain lamp should probably be in the same vicinity as well.

Nice!

Ha, sorry. Almost forgot. Here's the rest of the parts:

Could use a new CPO but overall fairly nice for the price. I don't have an extra $60 right now to buy one so it will have to wait I guess.

Good to see it was actually a real deal!

I had e-mailed the CL listing, but a few minutes later they pulled it. Did you close the deal in an e-mail or just show up the next morning with cash in hand?

I'm soooo jealous - I call first dibs on the next $50 mega deal!!!!

I actually got it because I didn't read the ad well. I woke Saturday and saw the ad and wrote the address down and e-mailed the guy and said I'd be there early and waiting in my truck outside and described my truck. My house was crazy that morning. My wife was heading to work and I was watching the kids and she was mad when I mentioned getting another game because we are so broke. I explained that I'd be able to either sell it or something else and make it up since it was only $50 and that the odds were that I wouldn't get there in time anyway. She still wasn't thrilled but she was ok with it.

So I bribed the kids with donuts on the way, grabbed $50 and headed out thinking I might just make it before he opened the door but expecting others to be there ahead of me. Then my GPS misguided me and we ended up being fairly late. When we arrived there were a couple other trucks there so I was sure it was gone.

The guy walked out of the house just as I got out of my truck and I asked if he was the guy with the arcade game. He looked at me and said, "The pickup time was supposed to be tomorrow". I had totally missed that in the ad and I said I was sorry but he said not to worry about it and that it was a perfect time actually. So he helped me load it in my truck. I did tell him I was surprised at how low he was selling it for and he said he just wanted to see it go to a good home.

So when I got it home my wife was actually excited about it too and I'm under no pressure to unload the thing and very happy about the whole deal.

Although I do feel bad for anyone else who was going after it who actually followed the directions.

One thing I have learned about Craigslist is get there first, cash in hand, even if it is before they are having their sale. Otherwise SRW will have it. :D

Ha ha...yes, be quick. I used to have a sheet of paper that listed all the free and dirt cheap games I picked up during a certain period of time but I think my wife threw it away. I can remember some of them but it would be interesting to have a list of them all now.

You bastard! I have been looking for a (Cheap) tapper near concord FOREVER, I only have room for one more game in my bar... I never even saw this listed.

I just sent off my tapper brass parts to be re-plated. Wohoo!

Including the cup holders? They are pot-metal so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. What kind of replating? Electroplating or are we talking powdercoating or what? Did you take some "before" pics?

They'll be brass plated so I assume its electroplating. Damon and I had a set done back in the late 90's and they turned out awesome. It can be done.

Still waiting to hear back from the plating guy for a quote.
