This is the one I picked up a couple weeks back that was discussed briefly in another thread.

A little preliminary cleanup work was required:

My wife wasn't to happy about me laying this on her new tablecloth.

But no harm done and it cleaned up pretty well.

so did you get a $50 tapper, or just $50 worth of tapper parts? ;)

Ha, sorry. Almost forgot. Here's the rest of the parts:

Could use a new CPO but overall fairly nice for the price. I don't have an extra $60 right now to buy one so it will have to wait I guess.

Did you pick up that Tapper from the Livermore area? I saw one a coulple of weeks ago in that area, it was dirt cheap but I thought it was a joke because I emailed the seller and never heard back?

Yeah it's the same one. There was a thread about it here: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=177308

A lot of people thought it was a joke because of the pic he used as well. Here's the pic he used:

Not sure why. It also came with a 2 Tapper coasters, a nice Tapper flyer and some extra Tapper controllers.

Seriously... what a friggin deal congrats! I could only hope to get so lucky... most times around my area a Tapper will show up for 800 - 1200 bucks (usually on the high side of that range)... its frustrating.

Thank you sir. I would be remiss if I didn't thank everyone here who helped me troubleshoot the monitor and get it going. I ended up replacing the flyback, the HOT, the VR, and doing a cap kit and it was still way to bright. I replaced the cap at X303 and it fixed it. I know I took way to long and frustrated everyone so sorry about that!

I have to admit that I was planning to flip the game at first. This is not a game I remember from back in the day. But the game play is highly addictive to me so I think it may be a keeper!

Tapper is one of those games that has great cabinet artwork and feel when you step up to it. The game is really really fun... and I just love the music and overall sounds of the game. I don't know of any game room where a tapper wouldn't fit in perfectly.

i could see how that would be percieved as a joke, with the miniature scratch build replica.

Yeah, he apparently grabbed that pic from an eBay ad. He said he used it because he didn't have any real pics of the machine and it's all he could find. But he managed to take pics of the extra goodies and post them.. Go figure.
