This is how kids should react to a proper arcade - A must see!

Anyone else hear the one boy say (GTA can wait,GTA can wait!!) hahah thats the only time I have ever heard a teen say they would rather play an arcade game over a console. I have to admit though,GTA is addictive online. Imagine how many girls he would have over if there was a megatouch (think I saw one on the bar but not sure?). He would be a god amongst the other guys at school.

Nice vid! Thanks for sharing! I like the reaction I get when people see how crammed full the basement is with games and parts. First time visitors usually think I'm crazy too, but sometimes people "get it."

Hmm teenage boys and teenage girls - alone in a house - wonder what got edited out of that video...

Haha, that's pretty rad. I remember my old roommate in me had a Street Fighter 3 arcade cab in our apartment. The staff maintenance guy came to work on our furnace and just stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the cab. "Whoa, can I see it on?" I could tell he wouldn't take no for an answer.

i gotta tell you, im probably only a little bit older then the kids in that pic (22) and i have a feeling that alot of girls, espically ones after a romantic relationship are not a fan of all my fun and games activities. theyre all in a hurry to grow up, i like toys. i guess i throw them off at the beginning having a job and my own place and stuff like grown up do haha

I think we had this talk while you were at my house.. You're on the right path with the Ms. Pac. Now get a Moon Patrol or Frogger, and they'll be lined up at your door. Just make sure you call me when the line starts forming so I can enjoy the view. :D

It's kind of hard to understand, but the boy was saying "Easy A can wait". They came over to begin with to watch some movie called "Easy A".

I was actually on my way home which my son knew so I'm sure they didn't get out of line. But I get what you are saying.

I'm glad everyone has enjoyed the video as much as I did. It put a smile on my face when my son first showed it to me.

Very cool vid.

My only question is about the title of the thread. What makes an arcade "proper"? If someone gets excited about my little 4 game setup, does that still count?

It was not a jab at smaller arcades/collections. I once had a small garcade. At the time I still had people rubbernecking and taking a second look when the garage door was open. What stuck out in my head was those little Wal-mart "arcades" and other places like at Six Flags where most of the games in there are redemption equipment. BLeh.

So by the term "proper", I mean good ol' hand to joystick arcade games. Where you gotta break a sweat to keep from getting a Game Over.

Very cool video. During our Halloween parties, I've had the same reaction.. even the line about, "do you have to pay for them?" It's too bad the games weren't on. I bet the shock would have been even bigger.

every time i see your arcade, im blown away. I WISH i had that much room and that nice of an assortment of games!! I bet those kids will be hanging out alot more now.

Always the 1st question "do you have to put money in?" LOL love it, nice job. Amazing space, great looking Arcade. Imagine if they would have walked in and the lights were out and the games all on with the Neon signs, and sounds etc... ??? wicked

Awesome video!!! I like it when someone said something to the effect "what do your parents do?!" LOL.....
