This is how kids should react to a proper arcade - A must see!

My wife and I were out one evening and my teenage son had a few friends over who have never been out to the house. He decided to video record his friends reaction to the arcade/gameroom. The video can be a little grainy at times, but in my opinion their reactions are priceless. The games aren't turned on in the video but it's still cool to watch. Its nice to know kids are still impressed with these games even with their Xbox's and PS3's. Click the link below to view the full video.

Awesome! I must say I get some surprising reactions when I shoe mine off to unsuspecting people :) Makes you really appreciate your hard work with putting it together for sure.

Wow. I really wasn't expecting that. I've never seen anyone, so excited about arcade games before.
Thanks for sharing.

I heard it a few times in the video, and I ask myself the same thing sometimes when I wake up to a apartment full of arcade.

"how does this happen?"

Great video. Thanks for sharing! Isn't it funny how the reactions are the same no matter who comes over? I got many of the same comments when my kids' friends come visit. "What does your dad do?". ;-) That and of course I'm always questioned whether I'm rich. My son says the same thing, "He just knows how to fix them up".

I actually think it's more funny to see Dads come pick their kids up and walk through the gameroom. They always want to stay and play.

We had a Christmas party for my 8yr old son's hockey team,
... and the reactions from the Dad's was better than the kids...

--

The first kid to walk into the "arcade" ran back out and yelled to the other kids
" That's SICK ! Just Sick ! It's the coolest thing I've ever seen ! "

...which of course prompted all the other kids to run in,
...followed by their dads .

I wish I had my camera to see the jaws of 10 grown men dropped to the floor...

---

The most common complaint all night was " Daaaaad, it's MY turn ! "

We've already been nominated to host next year's Christmas party.. !

That was great! I loved the way the girl sounded when she said "you have an arcade?!" I also love the fact that your son is respectful enough to not turn them on without your permission.

It was great when I had one of my friends in my gameroom for the first time. He ended up blabbing to the rest of my friends at school and now I have a huge list of people for a party for spring break. I don't know who will have more fun the kids or their parents. I told another friend I was about to pick up a Tron and they were like "When are you getting back so I can come over?". It's funny the reactions you get. It's funnier to hear the reaction when you say you work on them yourself.

Best quote in the entire clip:

"I've seen the Great Wall of China. I've seen the Pyramids of Giza; and nothing... compares to this."

-Red shirt guy.

That is the greated feeling when it happens. I had my insurance agent over and showed him the arcade. Needless to say he didn't want to leave and now wants a game too. :)

"You have an arcade"? "Do they work"? "Do you have to pay"? Funny I get the same lines every time people come over for the first time to my arcade LOL! Great video thanks for sharing!

Having an arcade also has some unexpected fringe benefits too...

I was having problems with my furnace yesterday,
and dreaded having to call the service technician to get it fixed...

So the guy shows up this morning ,
drools over my arcade games,
and we spend the next 20 minutes talking vids while
he fixes my furnace.

Once done, I offer to let him play all he wants.
... and he later thanks me by making sure my furnace parts were "under warranty" ...

...probably saved myself a couple hundred bucks solely because of my games...

;-)

"YEWWWWHAVENARCADE!!!!!!!"
Sweet setup and what I aspire my gameroom to be like one day.
Damn that sega rally is huge. Thanks for sharing.

i gotta tell you, im probably only a little bit older then the kids in that pic (22) and i have a feeling that alot of girls, espically ones after a romantic relationship are not a fan of all my fun and games activities. theyre all in a hurry to grow up, i like toys. i guess i throw them off at the beginning having a job and my own place and stuff like grown up do haha

I dont know hwich is more awesome, your badd ass arcade room, or your arcade website?

Now you can finally justify the games to your wife.

Priceless!!! After almost 2 years, wifey is finally coming around to the idea of an "arcade" downstairs. I have to show her this video to complete the transformation!
