This is how I restore a Dynamo corner cut CP

That looks awesome, can't wait to try it when you send me my Capcom CPO. I think I've found another CP so I won't have to use the freakish CP I posted above.

I decided to bump My "CPO install/CP restore thread" in light of recent postings...

A dynamo corner cut is tricky to work w/ so there's a bunch of tips in this thread. One thing I wish I showed better was how to align the bottom to tile it better.

Good write up. I noticed that you also placed the joystick washers on the outside. When I did that, I had many people tell me it should be under the actual CP. To me that made no sense for many reasons.

***EDIT - Just realized that this thread is almost 2 years old. Never noticed it before when I restored both my machines, could of been real useful back then ***

Some times the dust disks go under (neo geo) and sometimes they go over. It's an option and the only right way is how they sorta came from the factory.
Maybe it's just your preference. Japanese Sanwa joysticks come with two so that you can do both actually.

Yes this is an old thread but someone put out there a bad thread about how to install a CPO and they did a horrible job on an easy CPO with no actual write up. It was just a gallery of pics. I just wanted to bump my write which does have great tips from other members that I've picked up also.

I just used your write up word for word & it helped a lot.

Here are the results. The Fabrication part is mine..

Again Thank you, & I hope people will use this method. It does work.

I'm surprised neither of you used felt pads or something else soft on the tips of your clamps.

@ Biomech011

Great job, would love the have a G&G machine. It was one of my favorite series growing up besides SF, capcom was my world BITD. Do you happen to have a photo of your line up? Also how is that SF1 coming along?

Hey Challenger,
Thanks! And, sorry for the late reply. I wanted to wait till I was able to
capture this 1 picture. (Just picked this up off Craigslist today)

As far as the Street Fighter, I've been neglecting it. (I play it, but letting it sit for the right time. I got too many Projects)
Here is a glimpse next to the Championship Sprint:

I am going to have to apply a new CPO to the Ghost n Goblins panel, So i'll
be using this thread again. I'll add photo when I get started.

Well here it is, & I'm telling you it gets easier. Had this done in about 2 hours.

Here's a few shot. Again, the write up works.

Original Panel. Pretty beat up.

I used two buttons to lock down the CPO in place before peeling & applying the bottom half.

Note: Yes, I am removing that Orange T-Molding off the Ghouls n Ghost & going back to the Original Black.

Again, Thank you John for the Write up, with it I've done Two Great games.

Both Control Panels are Very different.
Ghosts CP is very hard to find & Ghouls CP is just simply hard to find.
Although you have a better chance finding a Ghouls Type CP. (Dynamo HS-1 modular control panel.)

Nice work, Great Pics...
Thanks for posting them in this thread. I hope this thread helps others to do their CPs.
