I had to take off a half day of work today because i pinched a nerve in my back moving a couple of cabs last weekend,I was just getting over breathing in asbestos and mold on my run a couple weeks before that.Ive been hitting it pretty hard this new year, guess i need to take a break.Getting old suck's!!!

At least you are enjoying your toys while you endure the pain of the aging process. :)

I had to help move a piano a couple of days ago, and I don't know if I have ever felt older than I do right now. I would rather move games all day than carry half of a piano around for a couple of hours.

1. have the right tools to move cabs.. like dollys or willing friends
2. never go into any old warehouse without a mask.. just incase there is mold and asbestos.

Games are fun... never let it ruin your health.

1.I have 2 appliance dollies and a truck,I have my son who's getting good at helping load cabs, and freinds to go as well if theres alot.
2.I didnt know the condition of the place i was going to,but there are mask's in my truck now.

Doc says i have a pinched sciatica nerve, steroid's,aleive and muscle relaxer's are my med's.It feel's like a jolt of electricity or a knife in my lower right back and every time i move it goe's down the back of my right leg, sometimes it just hits and hurts almost unbearably. The price we pay to play i guess,If a good deal popped up on CL or here tonight i would still go get it.

I dunno how YellowDog survived his last warehouse raid without a mask...or scuba equipment.

Two words..... LIFT GATE!

Won't help when they're already in your game room but it sure gives the back a break when you move them to your house.

You guys are starting to sound old :) I'm 17, and the only time I've ever "felt it" was when I moved all 70+ games in my warehouse in 1 day, to make room for more! Haha, I do know the feeling a little bit, I messed my knee up moving a Golden Tee Live (long story...) and it hasn't ever been perfect since. Some days it hurts like white on rice, some days it is good as golden. All in all, hobby related injuries are all apart of the fun. Do I think I'm going to be saying the same when I'm 50? Nope! I'll be just like you guys, but hey, can't I brag a little ;)

I tore the meniscus in my right knee working on games...simply by kneeling and sitting on my heels. Been playing tennis and basketball for years and it's frickin' arcade games that finally does me in! Heading for surgery on March 20th!

Enjoy it while it lasts. Basically the worst you have ever felt at 17 is the best you can hope for at 40. :)

I popped a rib out of socket by leaning too hard out of the truck window trying to get the mail out of the box. I felt it pop and didnt really think much of it until the next day. I went to the doctors a few days later which is very rare for me. Several months later and I still feel it occasionally. The problem is the older you get the slower you heal. It seems like even little cuts and scrapes on my hands stick around for months instead of a few days like it used to be.
Im not even 40 yet, hate to see what kind of condition I will be in at 60 or 80...if I make it that far.

That's what they all say ;)

To be honest, I do think some days what being in this hobby so early in life is going to do to me later on. I don't sit around everyday worrying about it, but moving 250-300lb machines as much as I do sits in the back of my mind and makes me wonder what 30 years from now is gonna be like after the constant abuse. Hopefully medical care can keep up with my stupidity, I mean infinite wisdom.

You and your "I'm 17 years old and have 70+ games". When I was 17 if I had 70 games I'd have been a god, a god I tell you.

So in 30 years what will you do? How about get some beds and open an arcade retirement home. Just save me a spot will ya?

:)

You really know that you have a problem when you take your brand new trailer out to pick up a home use only Gravitar, only to have 65mph winds decide that your trailer looks better on its side. The only good part about last night was the fact that the game did not get damaged. (The picture of the game was when it was loaded, before the roll over)

Nice trailer. How do you like the side rails you have in it? They look like a good idea for hauling games. Not sure how much I would use them in mine sine mine is mostly used for my sons quarter midget.
