Thinking of gettng out

I had some things come up this past year, and sold all my stuff too. People go crazy when they hear of someone selling all their games, but it really is no big deal. This is a hobby for most. Hobbies are hot and cold. These games can always be had again, and if you need money for whatever is going on, then sell them and don't feel bad about it. I had almost 20 games (which of course pales in comparison to most people here) a few months ago and got rid of all but 2. I now have 4, and am happy as can be with them. Nothing is irreplaceable. Do what you need to do.

Actually I have a need for $15k. Its not a subconscious number - the money is already spent - so to speak. I really dont want to go into my personal issues here, but the bottom line is I need $15 for something - could take less if in the ballpark (no 7-8500 isnt.), and it ALL goes. Down to the last leaf switch in my parts bin. I dont want any of it left. I have quite a few people offering me decent money for game(s), but I dont want to see this go piece(s) by piece.
At this point, it should be quite apparent what I would like, that I want out, and no debate on why I am.

well - Ill try to get some pics up this weekend. I have company coming in....maybe it will motivate me to actually turn the machines on! :rolleyes:
 
I looked at that list and I have to say 15k seems very optimistic to me for the lot as a whole. Maybe 9k-10k but there are projects in there and that doesn't help the value. If it were my stuff I'd take the time to sell them individually to get the most I could. I mean who is going to pay that much and then deal with moving and shipping all that stuff... seems kind of unrealistic. Not trying to be negative but the market kind of sucks right now and the economy supposedly sucks so there aren't many out there with 15k burning a hole in their pocket ready to give it away to take on an undertaking like that.
 
Yeah, thats what I was thinking. I thought 8k for them would be an *ok* bulk buy deal considering the added hassle of moving and storing that many machines. But at 15k this deal is for a serious collector, who's also close enough to pick them up and has the space (can we dwindle our options down any more?) or somebody for whom money is no object. If I could sell 24 machines at once for 15k that'd be a great sales day- and after a nice weekend in Vegas- It'd be time to start the game hunt anew!

Not trying to hijack the thread here but I offered 7k for the topten list...I thought this was more than fair.......Anybody else think this was fair or was I being unrealistic to think it was a good offer??

( I completely realize the seller needs 15k or nothing ) I need 10 games or nothing..haha.)

I totally agree..... Thought maybe almost half the asking price might shake something loose..I need a bunch of duplicate games like I need a hole in the head anyway...Really just tryin to get my buddy some more vids as he has all pins....

Didn't sound too bad to me-

But I don't think $7K for the bottom twenty list would be any kind of deal.

The list isn't bad, but a couple of things would keep me from biting- several of those games I've already got. It might be an upgrade on a few, but I wouldn't want to mess with selling the duplicates.

The second thing- the highly sought-after games that would command a bigger price- I don't care much for them. Journey- nah. Wacko- nah. Tapper- nah. Joust 2- nah. Punchout- nah

Millipede (with braze multi) -(well- I've got a Centipede and a Millipede board I could adapt)
Marble madness (mine doesn't work YET)
Tempest
Battlezone. (mine not working)
Tron (mine not as pretty probably)
Space invaders Deluxe
Ms pacman (late machine speedup hack)
Qbert (again, probably prettier)
Track and Field (technically not a dup of mine, but it's available for play)

So- things I'd be interested in-
Toobin
Satans Hollow (freeplay mod)
Jrok Multi in a Joust cab
- OR -
Sinistar (jrok board)
Gyruss
Vangaurd (slightly)
Donkey Kong Jr.
Mr do wild ride project -

and it's close by!

I could probably play Satah's Hollow in my Tron cab. I think the Toobin' would be fun. Sinistar too..
 
Well,
I have entertained many offers on all, some, and a couple games. They were also fair offers. Since gabesdad wants to make his offer public, well talk about it. So if I sell those top ten games for 7k, trying to dump the remainder for 8k will be hard without some bigger name titles in there.
Maybe everyone is right... I should jyst sell piece by piece.
So who wants a journey for $2500?? Well start there...!

I think thats more than fair. I think at this point you should try the Ebay route to sell these.
 
I still think tossing it on Ebay is a possibility, with a reseve or a BIN.

If you have a problem with the fees, raise the price so you net the $15k.
