Thinking about selling my outrun upright (Houston/Spring TX)

Hi all,

Thinking of thinning things down a bit....I have an outrun that is in pretty good shape...Monitor re-capped...game plays good...bezel in decent shape (even comes with the map ;) )

It would be for pickup only in the Spring TX area....its buried in the back of my storage unit behind a bunch of other games...but if there is genuine interest I can probably get a few pictures...

I was thinking about 300-400...

Thanks
Josh

Ok so I know everyone hates this...but its now MAKE OFFER.

It seems like people bitch about MAKE OFFER posts, but also dont buy because a super good deal is "too high of price"

This machine is easily in 700-750 dollar condition. But apparently selling for 1/2 of what it would sell for outside of KLOV is too high..

So make an offer if you want it. I might bite.

Price Check

There are two on ebay in the mid 400's -- one has a new monitor.

The parts themselves seem to bring the premium - I guess it's supply and demand.

Apparently so. But i dont dare part it because that would cause implosion of the KLOV universe..

So instead, it sits. in storage...until I get tired of looking at it, sell it to a KLOV'er for 100 who quietly parts it out and makes 15 times the money and doesnt get chastised because he sells the parts on EBAY and not KLOV.

Not trying to be a dick. Just venting.
And the main rant was people that bitch about "MAKE OFFER" posts, but wont even flinch when you mention a price...almost like make offer is the only way to get interest in stuff..

I couldnt get 250.00 for mine back here in MI, fully working, looks really nice. Its a shame. Like it was said before, parting out is frowned upon for obvious reasons, but thats where the money is on this particular game.

I'm not an advocate for parting games out, but if you post it on the "last call possible part out" thread and nobody buys it within a reasonable time then part away. Some get pissed about parting all together, but if you offer it up for sale first and nobody steps up, who cares! They can't dictate what happens to all games. I hope you find a buyer for the whole game. Good luck.

Out Run and Afterburner are funny like that. People will pay for parts when they get parted out, $150 for working boardset, people want sideart to get made, willing to shell out for the ribbed mat material, etc.. but good luck getting $250 for a complete working game. Both are games that you can spend a LOT on in replacement gears, NOS parts, basic restoration, then they're not "worth" much.

Same here, last 2 outruns I bought we're for $250. in nice condition.
I just gave away a free outrun cab with marquee and bezel to a buddy.

They don't fetch much.
$700. is just crazy unless there's $400. in quarters in the coin box.
