Thinking about getting a CD Jukebox.

Rowe is a very good brand and widely sold. That is good for you because those parts still working in other jukes and most likely have crossed over to many different models(except the cosmetic peices). If it looks good and works now it will never see the same duty cycle of service in your home that it did at local tavern. So you have the oppotunity to look for parts availablity before you have a problem. Jukes are no different than pins or video games, its all about cosmetics.

The juke your looking at is almost new by comparison. My Rowe CD51 has 274,698 plays on the counter. It has a production date of June 1993 and parts have not been an issue. I hope it plays that long times two.

Thanks for the offer. What are the common failure points for these machines usually?

Looks like the seller will hold it for a few weeks until I can go pick it up. My company is going to pay for it so he wants to wait for the checks to clear also. I want to do some research while I wait. Is there a good source for manuals online?

I guess its actually a 2000 model. Its a Saturn 2000 I think. I usually use an S10 pickup to get games. I should be able to fit this in my truck, right? Thanks for the help.

What work have you had to do on it since you've owned it?

I have put in a few cosmetic pieces, a lot of cleaning. My CD51 came out of a bar so it had the usual honkey tonk smell, lots of bleachwhite and time in the garage. Minor adjustments and learning the programming it now sets proudly in my family room. The 45rpm juke sat in an ops wharehouse for 15yrs without being plugged in and worked flawlessly the first time i plugged it in. Again, bleachwhite and some fresh air and it is in my sisters family room.
