I may have a lead on a reasonably priced Bride of Pinbot. Are there any common issues I need to watch out for on these machines? What should I check? For example, I have seen pictures of several machines and some seem to have a yellowing playfield, is this camera trickery or can this happen to a BOP? And of course, what are the other common issues with this game?

I've noticed that too. Hopefully CPR can get that one on the list, because it seems like every one I saw, even the ones that looked nice, had playfield flaws of some kind, either bad wear or discoloring.

Then again, that could've just been my brain bleeding causing me to see funny colors at TPF because the one that looked and played great was so freaking loud, it shattered my eardrums and caused permanent hearing loss....with foam earplugs in.

Check that the face is working the way that is should, turning at the right times and to the right face. Check the ramps too, they take a beating on this game.

The 'heart' ramp entrance takes a beating for sure, shuttle ramp not so much.

CPR won't be doing playfields any time soon, as somebody else apparently already licensed it, but the project has been stalled for years.

Personally, I don't like that style of raising the playfield where it rotates up but doesn't slide out. Makes it hard to access the top of the playfield.

Most of them will have full mylar, which is probably going to be bubbling over the inserts, not much you can do about that. Always a risk when pulling mylar. Very few are diamond plate, but that's definitely a bonus if you find one.

a sticky neck post is usually due to wear of the solenoid bracket.

Would $1200+ shipping be a reasonable price for an average machine that may/may not need a little work?

If the boards aren't hacked, the machine is complete and only has minor issues, and the playfield/cabinet are in good shape..... I'd pay $1200-$1500

Knock off $125 for each ramp you need to replace.

These are the pictures I have so far. Machine appears to be loved but not abused. Is this worth $1200 and the extra $300 to ship?

Would ask for better pics. Whats up with that left sling? Looks funny.

Sucks about the licence. They have cabinet decals fir this game...if some asshat licenced the pf and is not doing anything with it, the licence should be revoked and given to someone who will ise it.

It's the one on Ebay. I thought it might be a steal for someone too. However, I believe he said he was posting it for a friend. I dont get warm fuzzies when I read that.

Most have a mylar protector over the main playfield that tend to yellow and look grungy. Removes generally well. (I used the heat gun process to remove mine). A little elbow grease and magic erasers made an amazing difference.

Make sure the face mechanism is complete and works. For that price, ramps should be decent as well as plastics and good working condition.

The only problem I have with mine is G.I. Issues. This is my favorite pin and if I found another for sale around me at that price I would buy it.
