In fact, it was fun! Keep the yolk with the chassis and the rings with the tube. I might do this more often! Tube swapping that is...not breaking tube necks, which I hope never happens again.

Where are you getting the tubes from? Do they have to be old 80's 19" TVs?
My Elevator Actions is screaming for a tube swap.
Luckily the Defender I just picked up had the same model tube with a blown chassis that I wasnt even gonna attempt to repair. If it is a G07, you can use nearly any type of 19" Panasonic tv, or just be gutsy and buy a cheap one and hope the pins are the same layout and the tube neck is the same width. How do you pull the yoke off past the purity rings? Do the purity rings have to come off too?
