These forums are alive and well... new record for # of simultaneous users

Some people have noted a little less random conversation on the forums since we increased active scrutiny of fighting and abusive posts, and differences abound from topics from Price Policing to whether or not I was correct in adding a 'Restorations' Forum (let's not rehash those topics now please)-- but overall things look pretty good.

Upgrades continue, and I just noticed (everyone can see at the bottom of the forum home page) that there are between 160 and 185 users on the system throughout the day today, which is very strong for these forums...

Then I also noticed at the bottom of the forum home page that yesterday at 6:25 PM we broke a new record for the most number of users we have ever had online at one time: 224.

It's very nice to see...

Nice... seems like things are moving in the right direction here. The restoration forum is a step in the right direction for sure... Seems like forum activity is better everywhere for all my hobbies.. Maybe a sign the economy is doing better or summer is comming to an end, even rgvac has more posts.
Never going to make 100 percent of the people happy, thats just the way it is.

Got any numbers pre and post software upgrade? that seemed to be when the forum slowed to a crawl. Not necessarily with members logging on but with the amount of new posts/responses per day. Could just be the format but it looked like the number of posts and responses were cut in half if not more per day when the software changed months back.

Some of us actually just play the games... hmmm....:D

interesting, so what your saying is i dont have to constantly fix games i can actually take some time to enjoy and play them...i like this concept...gonna give it a try tonight..:D

I like seeing the Restoration forum. Is there any way to move existing big restoration threads into the restoration forum?

Not to be the bearer of bad news but that is only a record since switching software... I am not sure what the max users online at the same time was with the old software...anyone?

Counting the Lymphoma side? I remember once seeing over 300 or 400 people online, counting Guests...

Greg, let me be the first to say that you are doing a great job and it is greatly appreciated. I'm not a big internet guy, but this forum has grabbed and kept my attention and no other forum can say that as I simply do not participate in any others regularly. Thank you!

+1 with the ass-kissing kudos, but I appreciate your running it, Greg! ;)

I also was very happy the day I saw that the logo at the upper left corner finally said IAM and KLOV!

I don't know how long we've been able to export all of the private messages into a text file and download it but I used this last night and it was fabulous!

I have something like 400 messages piled up and I exported/imported them into Word and found what I was looking for in about 5 seconds -- beautiful!

238 online yesterday....

Nice.....and congrats.

I attribute it to the taming of your "mullah mclemore" alter ego. You've become much more plugged into sentiment around here and responsive to our input.

Moving on up!
