Hey guys,
One of the manufacturing processes that I no longer do in-house is thermo-forming/vacuum-forming of plastics.....well, unless it's a one-off for myself or prototyping reasons. Awhile back, I found two local mom and pop companies that could handle the wacky parts I was working on for RAM Controls and provide personalized service. They've both gone out of business over the last couple of years and I'm now looking for a replacement company or two to work with.
Can anyone in the area recommend a small family owned vacuum forming shop here in SoCal or NorCal? I will even consider one-man-working-out-his-garage shops, too. I want to stick with small shops for two reasons - the personalized service and the price. I still use the big boys for my main business, but they generally charge three to five times as much to do the same work. Since I'm trying to keep my financial exposure limited when it comes to RAM Controls, I really need to find a small place to work with. Obviously, if I can keep my cost within reason, the final price of my products won't go through the roof.
With many of my projects coming to a close, I'm extremely anxious to find a new vacuum former to work with. If you have any suggestions, please send me a PM.
Thanks!!
