Then and Nowinski: 80's Bay Area CA vintage arcade photos archived at Stanford Univ.

Just an FYI and sharing...:)

Between 1981 and 1982, renowned photographer Ira Nowinski hiked all over the Bay Area, taking hundreds of photos of arcades. In all, he snapped around 700 images, and in awesome news for retro gaming fans many of them are now available for viewing, courtesy of their acquisition by Stanford University's library

Hopefully they will be on-line at some point. Looks like most of them are only in negative form right now.

That would make a very cool book.

This is awesome and I think Ira is my new hero. I had begun to think few if any people took pics of that era but this is basically the motherlode.
 
Whenever I see that Flickr page...one thing I love thinking about (even though the probability is nil) that you may be seeing a game you now own in the wild!
