I'm restoring a ToM... the ramp next to the trunk was all f-d up and whomever "repaired" it also changed its original configuration of the post...I have a little play field repair to do and want to put the post where it belongs and use the correct part if possible.

I've attached the pic from the ipdb ... This clearly shows the proper placement... but I'm wondering if / how other folks have their ToM ramp/post configuration around the trunk and if it looks like this.

I think the part in this pic is a 1" metal post with grove (#02-4434) but I am wondering how it is anchored to the play field as those posts are usually hollow and I can't tell in the pic if there is a screw in there or not.

Pretty sure that's how mine looks. If you haven't got a reply by the time i get home, i'll have a look and post a photo for you

I thought the same thing, but that is how its designed. I was worried as well, then I look at ipdb and the pids of the play field looked just like that - as does mine.

Ok, so I had a look and not sure about the part number as i can't find it in the manual?? Definately the same as IPDB shows it. Mine must be hollow as it has a hex screw that attaches it to the playfield.

Mind you i have looked at about three different machines and on all three machines i have seen three different posts.

You can see in the photo's from underneath the small hole and tip of the screw. Will see if i can find the metal post number.

That's exactly what I was looking for... The part number I referenced in my first posting is the correct part. It's a hollow grooved post. Yours is anchored with a hex wood screw. Since my playfield has been drilled out I'll use a long machine screw and fit it with a nut on the underside.

Thanks again for taking the pic!!!!!
