Lets play yet another game of "WOOOUUUUUULLLD YOU TRAAADDEEEE!"...

7/10 Star Wars w/WG (his) for 9.5/10 Marble Madness (mine)

You can get a really nice Star Wars any day of the week with $800-$1200 in your pocket. I still haven't seen a Mable Madness in my area for sale in 10 years of collecting...

I second this. No-brainer - keep the MM.

I have $800 waiting for one to pop up local...

You posted the above in the other SW game thread, so if you don't play the MM much, do the swap and you have $800 cash for something else.

This is the 2nd or 3rd thread about you asking about trading Marble Madness. Clearly you dont like that game (and I don't blame you - its not for everyone). You have said many times in the past that you love SW, and that you hated selling your CP, and you regretted selling your UR.

Make the trade.

Make the trade.

Rarity and collection status aside, Star Wars is just a better game.

We have a Marble Madness here (easily 8.5/10 if not better) and if could make the call, I'd tried it anytime for a decent SW.

... then again, I hate the game. If it was my call I'd trade it outright for a good Sinistar, or trade +cash for a Wacko. (NO PM'S... it's NOT my call).

What you really should do is that Shadow pin trade for the MM plus the other kits.

I like MM much better than SW...of course, with MM, you have the option of swapping it out for Road Blasters, Road Runner, Indiana Jones, and Peter Packrat (the latter 2 I really like too)

+1. Just trade the goddamn thing already! ;)

Marble Madness is probably the better game (and more rare), but like some have said already, it seems like you don't dig it that much. If you really want a Star Wars and it makes you happy, make the trade.

You don't like Marble Madness. You'll never like Marble Madness.

So, eventually, you'll trade for the Star Wars. It'll happen. You'll trade it.

And then, a week later, you'll realise you've made THE WORST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE.

Sure, you'll tell yourself, it's only a stupid arcade game. But, teeny bit by teeny bit, it'll eat away at you. To the point that you'll run back to the person you traded with in the middle of the night, Star Wars in tow, standing at their door with the rain pouring down your face, begging to undo the trade. And then you'll peek inside and see the whole family - dog included - playing what was formerly your Marble Madness, and you'll know that there's no way you can take their new baby back from them.

On the lonely drive home, you'll blow a head gasket.

You'll be able to limp your car into a gas station, where two men in overalls tell you the head mechanic won't be back until morning. As they look under the hood and check out your smoking engine, one of them will see your Star Wars.

Cool game, man, the first guy says.
Yeah. Say, you know what game I liked, though? says the second man.
Which one? asks the first man.
The one where you're a marble, says the second man.

(Or, trade it and be perfectly happy. Who knows.) :D

Well I'll give you the other side. I've owned mint versions of both, and I sold both. Neither one is that great of a game. You've had 2 Star Wars machines, and sold both. You trade MM for SW now, and we'll see 10+ threads in about 9 months about the best way to get rid of your Star Wars. Trade? Sell? How much would you pay? Etc. Just sell the MM and get something else you haven't already owned and sold. Twice.

But it sounds to me like he's having DT's because he sold his SW games, and now misses them. Or maybe he thought they were more plentiful, and now is realizing that they aren't quite as easy to score as in days gone by.

And I have to say the head gasket blowing comment cracked me up :D

You know, I could really see what pookdolie said would happen :) You've had a Star Wars UR before and now it's gone. You lovingly restored a Star Wars cockpit, and now that's gone. You don't really like MM. Do you only see the $$$ of resale attached to Star Wars, and the fun of restoration? I think if you trade, you'll just sell SW in the end anyway. Why not get rid of the MM and buy a game you want to keep?

If your collecting games on "rarity" keep the MM, if your collecting games that you will play over and over make the trade.

I'm not a big "rare game" guy, better to have one that I enjoy playing over one I just sit and stare at.

No... not that I don't like it... it's that that is the game that gets asked about the most. Honestly, it's a decent game... but it's certainly trade-bait for something else.

Is a really nice MM really worth decent dough? I figured maybe $700-$800... but again, what do I know?

About SW...

I like SW... I sold my upright only because I got the cockpit. I sold the cockpit only because I was offered a shit-ton of dough for it and that helped finance many games. I would really like an upright back... and this time it won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Marble Madness is a fun game... but I DO like Star Wars better frankly.

I sold mine for $500 (all OG, and NICE), but I'm probably the coolest seller in KLOV history.
